Know What’s Ahead
I started building TYDE because I felt like most personal finance tools answered only part of the question.
Budgeting apps are good at showing where your money went. Long-term planning tools can tell you whether you may be on track decades from now.
But I wanted something that started with true cash — what you actually have available, what’s coming in, what’s going out, and what your cash position is likely to look like over the next few months.
Then I wanted that same view to connect to the bigger picture.
TYDE is being built to help answer questions like:
- Can we actually afford this purchase?
- What will our cash look like over the next few months?
- What happens if income or spending changes?
- Are we still on track long term?
Still early
TYDE is still in early development, so there are definitely kinks we’re working through.
The current review site uses synthetic sample data only. There’s no bank connection and no need to enter any personal financial information.
For now, I’m mostly looking to see whether people find the idea useful.
